Shooting wedding films at Chiddingstone Castle is always a pleasure especially when we get to work with lovely couples such as Rebecca and David. On the day we arrived early at Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells (where Rebecca was getting ready) to film some of Rebecca’s preparations for the day. Rebecca looked amazing in her Eliza Jane Howell dress that she bought from Isabella Grace with make-up done by the very talented Clare Lake.
We then headed for Chiddingstone Church in the pretty Tudor village of Chiddingstone for the ceremony. St Mary’s Church in Chiddingstone, Kent is an old country church made from local sandstone parts of which date back to the 13th century though records of an earlier church from 1120 exist! After filming shots of the church and the groom and guests, we were on hand to film Rebecca arrive in style in a stunning vintage Rolls Royce. After a lovely ceremony everybody headed for Chiddingstone Castle for the reception.
Chiddingstone Castle weddings are a delight to film as it is such a stunning venue. Imagine a historic house set in 35 acres of Kentish countryside and filled with extraordinary treasures. Chiddingstone Castle offer exclusive use of the castle and grounds to their wedding parties so Rebecca, David and all their guests were free to mill around and take in the wonder of this majestic venue.
On arrival there was a drinks reception held in the courtyard area that offered the most beautiful views of the Kent countryside. There was also a chance for Rebecca and David to take a quick walk with ourselves and their photographer Helen England to get some great shots of them set in the beautiful grounds.
Then everybody headed inside for the reception and a sumptuous wedding breakfast. The reception hall looked amazing and was decorated beautifully. We like to capture the little touches at weddings as they always reveal something of our clients’ personalities. After the meal there were some very well received speeches and the cutting of a beautiful wedding cake.
Evening entertainment started with a romantic first dance and it was the sight of Rebecca and David dancing with all of their loved ones looking on that seemed the perfect frame to close the story of their wedding day.
A beautiful and stylish wedding full of love and laughter. Congratulations to Rebecca and David for getting married and creating such a wonderful day for yourselves, your family and your friends to remember. We hope our wedding film will enable you to relive it again and again for many years to come.
